How the lab is funded
Every mod, tool and simulator on this site is free, for everyone. Nothing costs money, nothing is locked, and nothing is held back from anyone who doesn’t donate. Every mod is a free open beta while we collect reports from other people’s instruments.
The work is independent research: we open up instruments, work out how their firmware ticks and build what they were missing. Donations pay for the hardware we take apart, the hosting and a lot of coffee.
Leave your name in the message and say you’d like to be listed, and we’ll add you below. Ask any time and we’ll take it off. Tips go to Freakier Firmware Labs LLC. We’re a small business, not a charity, so they aren’t tax-deductible. The details are in the terms.
